Title: Grizzly

Genre: Thriller / Survival
Tagline: “The wilderness has its own apex predator.”

Opening Scene

(Dense Forest – British Columbia, Canada)
The camera pans through a serene, misty forest at dawn. Birds chirp, and a gentle stream flows. Suddenly, the peace is shattered by the guttural roar of a grizzly bear. A terrified hiker scrambles through the underbrush, pursued by a massive grizzly.

The scene ends with a blood-curdling scream, leaving the audience to imagine the bear’s ferocity.

Act 1: Introduction

(Park Ranger Station – Vancouver Island)
Kara Dawson, a seasoned park ranger in her early 30s, arrives at the ranger station. She’s calm, competent, and deeply connected to the wilderness. The radio crackles with news of a rogue grizzly bear attacking campers.

CHIEF RANGER WILSON: “We’ve got a problem bear out there, Kara. This one’s different—aggressive, territorial. Locals are calling it the ‘Shadow of the Forest.’”

Kara is tasked with tracking the bear and ensuring the safety of park visitors.

Act 2: The Hunt Begins

Kara ventures deep into the forest, armed with tranquilizer darts and her wits. Along the way, she encounters clues of the grizzly’s path: shredded tree bark, deep paw prints, and half-eaten carcasses.

She radios back to the station.

KARA: “This bear isn’t just wandering—it’s hunting.”

While setting up traps, Kara encounters a group of reckless campers who dismiss her warnings. That night, the grizzly attacks their campsite. Kara arrives too late to save them but drives the bear off with a flare gun.

Act 3: The Predator Becomes Prey

Kara realizes the grizzly is not just defending its territory—it sees humans as prey. Alone and outmatched, she must rely on her knowledge of the terrain and survival skills.

The bear begins stalking Kara, toying with her by destroying her gear and cutting off escape routes. Tension builds as Kara’s radio stops working, leaving her isolated.

KARA (to herself): “You’re smart, but so am I. Let’s see who knows this forest better.”

Using makeshift traps and her understanding of animal behavior, Kara manages to wound the bear. However, this only enrages it further.

Act 4: The Final Showdown

In a thunderstorm, Kara lures the bear to a cliffside. Armed with a single tranquilizer dart and a hunting knife, she prepares for a desperate fight.

The grizzly charges. Kara narrowly avoids its swipes, using the environment to her advantage. In a climactic moment, she drives the tranquilizer dart into the bear’s neck.

The bear collapses, but not before swiping at Kara, leaving her injured. As the rain pours, she collapses beside the unconscious beast, exhausted but alive.

Epilogue

(Park Ranger Station – Days Later)
Kara, bandaged but recovering, watches as wildlife officials relocate the now-sedated bear to a remote, uninhabited region.

CHIEF RANGER WILSON: “You could’ve killed it. Why didn’t you?”
KARA: “It was just doing what it was born to do. Survival.”

The final shot shows the grizzly waking up in its new territory, roaring one last time as it disappears into the wilderness.
